My Oh My... Where Does the Time Go!

I know I haven't done the best job of updating the blog and web site. I've done SOME with the Facebook page, which of course I hope you guys all check out. But life just seems to get in the way and it's hard to find some hard time to sit down and knock out stuff.  I'm trying and of course will try harder.

As for the Facebook I just added some stills from our film "1-900" a couple of weeks ago an then today I added several photos of our film, "Dog Me: Potluck"  Yes we all looked young and we all had a ton of energy for both films.  I still think the energy is there, I just have to focus more and push myself a little harder.

I do have several projects in various forms and I hope to actually settle on one and see how I can put it all in production and make something happen.  I still love filmmaking and  no matter what I have to do to pay the bills I will ALWAYS consider myself a filmmaker... as I've said many times before... it's better than sex and truly feeds my soul!

So my question to you in the business.... no matter what side of the camera... for you... is it better than sex???

Working Some Place New

OK, so I had to replace my computer and now I'm in the process of getting everything back loaded up and up to speed again.  It's always a pain in the... I think you know where I'm going with that. lol

Anywho, I'm hoping that I can get into some kind of rhythm so I can start feeding the film soul and work flow. I am starting to get that urge to do something and maybe this will be the year I come back big.

Now before I tackle something new I need to wrap up some stuff that I've been meaning two, namely the DVD version of "3 days... 3 hours... 3 minutes... 3 seconds..." which by the way is basically done, with just a few minor things to do.  So if I can get my butt in gear maybe I can knock this out and put it out there for the world to see.  The reworked film does have a lot of extras that I'm very proud of, but it does me no good sitting on a drive and not being pushed out there.  So after getting everything back up to speed with the new "mobile office," that's plan number one... stop talking and get the DVD done.

The other thing I HAVE to do is work on the website. It's been a long time since I've really done much with it, so I need to tweak that as well and make it more interactive and easier to maintain since I don't have a ton of time.

I feel like this could be a good year overall.. I'm going to try to not put so much pressure on myself, but I do feel if I don't do it, I'm not sure who will and something HAS to get done here.

So that's it for now... time to get back to work doing what I'm trying to do.

Kathryn Bigelow-Lee????

Ok, just saw "Zero Dark Thirty" and it is amazing! Kathryn Bigelow hit it out of the park again. There are few directors that I just absolutely love seeing their work no matter what and SHE is one of them! She reminds me again why I love filmmaking.

I'm working on my iPad for the first time at one of my favorite mobile offices. It's a great day outside and her film has inspired me. I've got to push hard this year with Triple Sticks Productions. Maybe this will kick me in the right direction so that one day maybe someone else out there might be getting out of one of my movies and writing a post like this... Or by then posting a hologram or something?

Kathryn Bigelow-Lee... Kind of has a nice ring to it don't you think? :)

Putting Some Time In...

It's been far too long since a posting, but I have been to the movie theater... the actual, pay money, sit in a dark room with others, eat popcorn with fake butter movie theater and I'm always so glad I did.  It reminds me of what I need to do more of and reminds me why I always wanted to be a filmmaker.

The first film I saw was, Spielberg's "Lincoln." Daniel Day Lewis is outstanding in it. Academy voters will love it. It's a good film... a really, really good film, but not great or earth shattering.

The second film, "Skyfall." Hey it's a James Bond film, don't expect it to be anything more. It's a good Bond film that will hold up and make those who love the franchise happy and no doubt bring in some newbies.
As for me the bottom line is with the end of the year nearing, I may get a chance to do some minor stuff with TSP here and there, but I really have to start working on a plan of attack for next year.  I can't have another down year happen, so I'm going to try to finish off strong and gear up for what I hope will be an outstanding 2013!

Who Needs GTL, I'm Doing a Little G-MO-W!

Setting up for some work at one of my "Mobile Office's"... have Pandora on... JT is setting the tone with, "What Comes Around"  The sun has finally come out, gone are the overcast clouds that painted the sky early this morning a very unsexy, "30 Shades of Gray."
Have some emails and a snail mail letter to knock out of the way.  Going to see how much I can get done, in between working the day job remotely.
It's hard to push through with the film side of life, but I have to.  I've got some really good things planned for Triple Sticks Productions, I just have to buckle down and push past the hours at work, sleep and bad reality TV and slice out more time for TSP.

To you who follow this blog, the company and more... thanks for the understanding, I intend to pick it up!

Oh and if you follow my goofy blog, "Ketch-Fraze" there will be a posting there in a bit about Netflix.  I'm heading back to the traditional version because you CAN rent,"Do g Me: Potluck" there and I want to continue to support that film and encourage you to as well... it's still pretty damn good!
Anyway, off to start my stuff... keep and eye out and follow me on Twitter: @mdavidleeiii
